    A lovely hand painted Miniature Portrait of a young lady dating from around 1920. Signed by the artist G. E. Bayle just above her left shoulder. Painted on a plastic Ivorine base quite often used during this period as a substitute for ivory. Superbly painted with great attention to the face and hair. Our sitter is posed in front of a sky background looking directly out of the picture towards the viewer and beyond. She is shown wearing a blue green dress with matching necklace. Presented behind glass in an oval gilt frame. The miniature is in excellent condition, with no damage to the base, no loss of colour or fading. Delivery is free in the UK tracked and insured with Royal Mail

    A superb Hand Painted Miniature Portrait identified as Abraham James, son to John James, born 1776, married in 1800 and died in 1857. The miniature is registered under the Ivory Act, PCTDN9R4 The miniature is attributed to the well documented miniaturist Frederick Buck. The miniature is presented behind glass in an oval brooch frame and dates to around 1800. The miniature is in excellent antique condition, the base is flat and there is no loss of colour or fading. There is a tiny edge chip to the glass at around the 2 o'clock position, there is a brown spot inside the glass and it is missing its pin at the back. The size of the miniature is 56mm high x 46mm wide, the frame size is shown below.

    A simply stunning Hand Painted Miniature Portrait of a young girl. Painted on a celluloid base, Ivorine, frequently used in the early 1900's for its stability. Dating to around 1920 and painted with fine precise brushwork and simply signed a "W." lower left hand side. I would think our young sitter is probably aged around 18 or 19 years of age. Presented behind glass in its original gilt frame and comes with its original travel case. In excellent antique condition with no damage to the base, loss of colour or fading. The travel case is in good condition commensurate age and handling, just some marks and scuffs on the outside with the silk lining on the inside frayed. The size of the miniature 63mm high high x 50mm wide, the frame size is shown below.
