    A superb Georgian Miniature Portrait of a young gentleman painted in a three quarter pose "En Grisaille" in a restricted pallet of greys and blues, simply stunning. His hair is a mass of curls on the top and sides of the head, wearing a dark top coat with large lapels, white waistcoat and white cravat and painted against a blue sky background. Presented behind glass in an oval gilt narrow bezel with blue glass surround and set in a double sided gilt oval pendant frame with hanger and inset maroon backing. The size of the miniature is 53mm high x 40mm wide. The frame size is shown below.

    This listing is for a finely painted English School Miniature Portrait of a young Victorian Gentleman. Presented behind glass in an oval inner gilt mount with white surround set in a carved wooden frame with ring hanger. The sitter is shown wearing a white shirt with pearl buttons, a black cravat tied in a bow and a dark waistcoat and dark top coat with large lapels. PLEASE NOTE THE MINIATURE WAS NOT REMOVED FROM THE FRAME FOR PHOTOGRAPHY HENCE WHITE MARKS, SHADOWS AND REFLECTIONS. The size of the miniature is 92mm high x 70mm wide. Presented behind glass in a round ormolu frame with a lower section with bows on either side and flowers. Shown wearing a pink dress with pearls and a pink rose with a wrap around her arms. Presented behind glass in in a gilt bezel set into a large stepped maroon velvet matt and a heavy gilt outer frame with a border of acanthus leaves and a hanging ring to the back.     An excellent Hand Painted Miniature Portrait of The Duchess of Bourgogne 1457-1482. Of real Historical Interest but with a sad story. Mary of Burgundy Countess of Flanders and Burgundy died at a very young age, only 25 years of old after a hunting accident when she was thrown from her horse and developed complications a few days later. Presented behind glass in an oval ormolu frame with a boarder of crossed over bands. The size of the miniature is 75mm high x 60mm wide, the frame size is shown below.

    A superb Hand painted Edwardian Miniature Portrait named as Mrs. Dora Stanley Lund, nee Marchall and dated 1904 (written documentation included). The portrait is stunning with the face in fantastic tight brushwork with the hair painted much looser, with the pale blue background around her head blending to white. She painted posed just head and shoulders with the artist capturing a serious inquiring look, staring out beyond the painting, the artist capturing the moment perfectly as if a photographic snap shot. The miniature is presented behind glass in a gilt oblong frame and comes with its original wood and leather covered easel backed travel case. The size of the miniature 107mm high x 82mm wide.
