A superbly painted study of an early 19th Century water colour on card of a beautiful young lady. Stunning detail drawn and outlined in pencil with an un-faded crisp water colour within a cream mount and set in a Gold Japanned frame by Alfonse Giroux. The young lady is shown wearing a white top with lace sleeves and cuffs with a light blue pleated skirt. She holds in her hand an album and a pencil with behind her in the far distance is the sea with small sailing craft. The painting is signed and dated on the lower right hand side.
