A stunning Ormolu statue of Napoleon Bonaparte on an ormolu column fitted to a round wooden base with small bu feet. Produced in France around 1860 as a desk ornament it has survived very well. The ormolu is in bright untouched condition and with the wooden base gives it that extra lift.

C.1890/190 SUPERB SILVER PLATE DUTCH INK STAND
I believe that this superb silver plated Ink Stand is possibly Dutch in origin.
The casting is very deeply under cut and of very fine detail. The scene is of Baccus riding a donkey in a procession led by Pan like figures one playing pipes another blowing a horn. A third is by the side of Baccus holding a wine chalis. Following behind is a maiden with a tambourine all set in a landscape. There are further figures of angels and puttes set in a frieze running around the outside. Under the hinged lid are two compartments for ink wells to sit.
(these are missing and would have been of glass)
The lidded compartment sits on a tray with raised border and sits on four shaped feet.
Height Cm/Inches: 7/2.76
Depth Cm/Inches: 12/4.72
Width Cm/Inches: 23/9.06

RELIGIOUS CARVING
C.1900
Probably Belgium or French in origan and could have been carved from a fruitwood.
This is an excellent carving of a nun holding her hands in prayer.
The detail is as fine as you will see in wood carving, with excellent detail to the folds in her habit and sharp features to her face. There seems to be no damage visable anywere.
She is carved standing on a steped base which has been added to a later marble base which has saved her falling over and causing chipping or bruising to the wood.
(Sizes shown are for the figure only)

GRAND TOUR CARVING
A Superbly detailed miniature hand carved marble figure of DANTE.
Collected around 1860/1880 by someone on the Grand Tour through Italy
The carving is of fantastic detail, the head and shoulders carved on a turned column made from a single piece. I believe the carving is from serpentine marble but not completely certain.

Depth Cm/Inches: 4.4/1.73
Width Cm/Inches: 5/1.97
