An excellent Brass shoe shaped Vesta Case with pop up lid and striker. Push button release on the heal works fine with strong spring. Nicely shaped design with well defined heal and sole. Possible makers mark to the front of the shoe.

C.1890 SILVER PLATE DUTCH VESTA CASE
This is very rare silver plated Dutch vesta Case and would make a superb addition to any collection. The detail in the casting is excellent and I am afraid my photographs do not do it justice. Deeply cut it depicts a tavern scene with drinkers and revellers obviously enjoying themselves. The scene is typically Dutch as is the style and depth of casting. The hing is very strong and the stricker on the base well defined. It does have a couple of dings to the back of the case but these are not visible when displayed.
